  • Prepare and review more complex tax returns and work papers, applying advanced technical knowledge to ensure accuracy, compliance, and advisory-focused outcomes.
  • Analyze client information, research tax issues, and develop solutions that support planning strategies and maximize tax benefits.
  • Communicate directly with clients and tax authorities, providing guidance, addressing inquiries, and maintaining strong professional relationships.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and prepare supporting reports in alignment with firm standards and regulatory expectations.
  • Collaborate with team members across engagements, contributing to workflow efficiencies while supporting and reviewing the work of junior associates and interns.
  • Continue developing technical expertise through ongoing learning, training, and staying current with evolving tax laws and industry trends.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field. A master’s degree in public accounting is a plus.
  • CPA certification or progress toward obtaining a CPA is highly desirable.
  • 3 + years of experience in public accounting or a related field, with a focus on tax services.
  • Highly proficient in the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.). Familiarity with accounting software is required, and experience with Ultra Tax is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Experience serving clients in agriculture, agribusiness, or related industries is a plus.
  • Adaptability and a commitment to flexibility in a constantly changing professional environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide precise and impactful feedback to clients and team members.
