The Opportunity

As a Senior Tax Associate, you'll play an important role in delivering high‑quality tax compliance and advisory services while continuing to grow your technical expertise and client‑facing skills.

You’ll work closely with business owners, agricultural producers, entrepreneurs, families, and individuals, helping them navigate complex tax matters and identify planning opportunities throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities Tax Compliance & Planning
  • Prepare and review individual, partnership, corporate, trust, and other tax returns
  • Analyze client financial information and identify tax planning opportunities
  • Research complex tax issues and develop practical solutions
  • Assist with proactive tax planning strategies designed to maximize client outcomes
  • Stay current on tax law changes and emerging industry trends
Client Service & Advisory
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters, planning opportunities, and compliance requirements
  • Build strong professional relationships through exceptional service and responsiveness
  • Assist clients in understanding tax implications and available planning strategies
  • Work collaboratively with managers and partners to deliver valuable advisory solutions
Team Collaboration & Development
  • Support and review the work of junior staff and interns
  • Assist with training and mentoring less‑experienced team members
  • Contribute to process improvements and workflow efficiencies
  • Work closely with team members across a variety of client engagements

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field required
  • Master’s degree or advanced tax coursework preferred
  • CPA license or active progress toward CPA certification strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of public accounting tax experience
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax concepts
  • Agricultural or agribusiness tax experience is a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
