The school counselor supports the academic, social-emotional, and career development of all students in grades 6–8. This role focuses on fostering student success through individual and group counseling, classroom guidance, collaboration with staff and families, and proactive programming. The counselor serves as an advocate for students, helping them navigate the unique challenges of early adolescence.
Criteria- Master's degree in School Counseling
- Valid state certification/licensure as a School Counselor
- Knowledge of adolescent development and middle school counseling practices
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, families, and community partners
