Job DescriptionThe YMS teacher will be a full‑time teaching position. The teacher will be required to attend all staff meetings, department meetings, and assigned committee meetings. The teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction aligned with curriculum standards while creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver high‑quality lessons that meet diverse student needs.
- Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, department meetings, and assigned committee meetings to collaborate on school initiatives.
- Understand and apply South Dakota State Standards in lesson planning and instruction.
- Engage in curriculum planning and coordination to ensure alignment with educational goals.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education.
- Utilize technology to enhance instruction.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to enhance student learning and well‑being.
- Valid South Dakota teaching certificate.
- Middle school teaching endorsement.
- Secondary History endorsement.
- Ability to plan, prepare, and deliver high‑quality lessons that meet diverse student needs.
- Experience with curriculum planning and coordination.
- Proficiency in utilizing technology in instruction.
