Transportation Design Project Manager

The Transportation Design Project Manager leads transportation and traffic engineering projects from planning through design and delivery. This role combines technical expertise, project management, team leadership, and client engagement to develop safe, efficient, and innovative transportation solutions.

Responsibilities

+ Manage transportation and traffic engineering projects, including traffic studies and multidisciplinary design efforts.

+ Develop traffic forecasts, evaluate alternatives, and recommend operational and safety improvements.

+ Prepare and review traffic impact studies, safety analyses, signal timing plans, feasibility studies, and technical reports.

+ Design traffic control plans, traffic signals, signing, and pavement markings in accordance with MUTCD and industry standards.

+ Participate in client meetings, public presentations, and business development activities, including proposal support.

Required Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

+ Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain Nebraska licensure.

+ 5+ years of experience in traffic engineering, transportation operations, and safety.

This position operates in a collaborative engineering consulting environment supporting transportation projects throughout planning, design, and construction. The role includes a combination of office-based analysis, design work, client meetings, and occasional public presentations. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
