Architect - Platform Strategy - Migration and Modernization

Job Overview

Define an architectural vision and solution aligned with the enterprise architecture strategy, technology, and platform choices.

• Describe solution intent and operating environment.
• Evaluate system impacts, determine primary systems/sub‑systems and interfaces.
• Assist with end‑to‑end solution design and architectural runway for new epics/features.
• Define non‑functional requirements (security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, reliability).
• Consult with business and operations to identify challenges and opportunities, create solutions and prototypes.
• Collaborate with product management and stakeholders to plan and prioritize the architecture backlog.
• Perform design and code reviews to ensure non‑functional requirements are met.
• Lead the rapid shaping of high‑level architecture and ensure it remains flexible, modular, and adaptable.
• Educate team members on technology practices, standardization strategies, and best practices.
• Clarify architecture and assist system design for development teams; provide solution options to resolve architectural impediments.
• Use best practices, templates, and documentation to create architectural designs and suggest improvements.

• 8+ years of experience.
• Strong logical design skills.
• Good relationship management and influence skills.
• Experience driving standards adoption.

• Background in .NET and/or Java.
• Experience with container development in Open Shift, Bitbucket, Jenkins.
• Familiarity with agile environment.
