Tube Machine Operator

Who will you be working with?

L M Radiator, Inc. is a global designer, manufacturer, and distributor of MESABI cooling and heat transfer solutions that are custom‑made for heavy equipment in the mining, oil, gas, construction, and heavy industrial industries. We are looking for an individual to join our third shift tubing team.

As a member of the Tube Machine Operator team, you will be responsible for the programming, operating, and machining parts for production. You will report to the Tubing third shift supervisor.

• High School Diploma or GED with 1‑year related work experience.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Basic math skills and use of calipers, tape measure, and micrometers.
• Ability to pass pre‑employment math test, physical, drug test and background test.
• Computer skills for looking up specs, job orders and clocking in.
• Understanding of how mechanical components work and fit together.
• Ability to meet the physical criteria of the job demands.
• Effective communication in English, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to learn new tasks.
• Manual dexterity based on past experiences.
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment written math test.

• Set‑up and operate the tube machine to produce a completed tube.
• Assemble tubes.
• Inspect parts.
• Perform light maintenance on the machines.
• Assist in training others on the tube machine.
• Follow all appropriate work instructions.
• Set‑up and operate RTTS and aluminum tube machine.
• Assist in other areas of production as needed and qualified.
• Perform work in a safe manner and follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Domestic and international travel required; could include weekend travel depending on the project.
• Perform related work and other duties as required by supervisor.

• Wear correct PPE.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Stand on concrete.
• Work in heat conditions in summer.
• Work with paints, oils, solvents.

This role is also eligible for a performance bonus.

The hourly range for this role is between $21.00 and $30.50. The actual hourly rate offered may be influenced by training, experience, education, business needs, market demands, and location. The base pay range is subject to change.
