Shift Differential: $2.00 pm shift, $5.00 night shift, $1.50 weekend shift, $1.00 Geriatric pay, $2.00 Adolescent pay

Pay Grade: N1 or N2

Job Summary

Registered Nurses provide health care for psychiatric and chemically dependent individuals by assessing needs and implementing appropriate nursing interventions for patients, determining if a physician's attention is necessary, and following orders given by a physician to ensure patients' health care needs are met.

Licenses And Certifications

Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota. Nursing level will be determined based on education and experience.

Knowledge Of
  • Professional nursing theory and practices.
  • Recent developments in the field of professional nursing applicable to the area of assignment.
  • Clinical procedures.
Ability To
  • Keep records and charts.
  • Follow oral and written instructions.
  • Communicate information clearly and concisely.
  • Operate a variety of medical equipment.
  • Make reports on observations.
  • Apply general nursing techniques and practices.
  • Maintain a helpful and sympathetic attitude toward patients.
  • Lift 75 lbs.
  • Deal effectively with patients and staff.
