Department Details We are an active participant of the Nebraska Rural Health Workforce Incentive Program which provides stipends between $7500 and $75,000 per year for qualifying health care professionals who agree to a five-year service commitment in rural communities. Job Summary The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care (LTC). Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned resident under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
Qualifications High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required. Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred. Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
CNA training and certification required and provided by facility. Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year. A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually. Maintains all department specific required certifications.
