Location:
Yankton, SD. Pay Rate: $23.00 – $33.50 per hour.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday | 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM.

Job Duties- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment, tools, and facility systems
- Repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and plumbing components
- Conduct equipment inspections, safety checks, and lockout/tagout procedures
- Fabricate parts and maintain shop equipment as needed
- Support facility upkeep including lighting, painting, snow removal, and grounds maintenance
- Assist with inventory handling, receiving, and warehouse operations
- Document maintenance activities and complete data entry
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors on maintenance projects
- High school diploma or GED with 1+ year of work experience
- Basic mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Forklift experience and valid driver’s license required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong safety awareness and ability to follow procedures
- Lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Work in industrial environments including high heat conditions
- Perform physically demanding tasks safely
- Experience with ERP systems (Epicor or similar)
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge
- Class B CDL or DOT certification

What You Will DoAs a Maintenance Technician you will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, machinery, and facility systems to support safe and efficient operations. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose equipment issues, replace worn components, document completed work, and work closely with production and operations teams to minimize downtime while maintaining quality and safety standards.
A Maintenance Technician helps maximize equipment reliability through routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repair. This role requires mechanical ability, technical knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining safe and efficient operations across a variety of industrial environments.
The Maintenance Technician works with production equipment, facility systems, and mechanical components while applying sound troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve equipment issues. Strong analytical thinking and practical repair skills contribute to improved productivity and reduced downtime.
