Elixir Developer

Piper Companies is looking for an Elixir Developer for a large data center company located in Texas. The Elixir Developer will need to have a solid foundation in Elixir and a passion for building robust and efficient systems. This role is fully focused on backend development and will be a contract opportunity.

Responsibilities for the Elixir Developer:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Elixir (Phoenix not required).
• Collaborate with the team to implement efficient and scalable solutions.
• Utilize SQL and PostgreSQL for database development and optimization.
• Integrate Kafka for event-stream processing as needed.
• Leverage AWS services to enhance application infrastructure.
• Manage version control and project collaboration using Git Hub.
• Contribute to projects using Python where applicable.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend services.

Requirements for the Elixir Developer:

• Proficiency in Elixir development (flexible on the number of years of experience).
• Experience or familiarity with SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of Kafka is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with AWS is highly desirable.
• Version control expertise using Git Hub.
• Exposure to Python is an added advantage.

Compensation for the Elixir Developer:

• $45.00-$60.00 per hour
