Role DescriptionJob Title:
Personal Banking Associate (branch)
Purpose:
Establish, build, and maintain impactful relationships with customers and guide them to the appropriate staff for resolutions of financial needs, including new accounts, investment advice, and banking solutions. Provide day-to-day advisory support and assist customers with banking transactions and inquiries, while promoting customer experience and satisfaction.
- Engage customers in day-to-day advisory needs, service transactions, digital education, and problem resolution related to banking solutions.
- Understand customer needs and guide to the right contact for appropriate solutions; exercise good judgment in confidential matters.
- Educate customers on digital banking (mobile, ATM, online banking) to build confidence in using self-serve channels.
- Support frontline staff with scheduled cash and non-cash transactions; resolve critical issues and report non-standard matters to management.
- Suggest improvements to work practices, branch operations, and processes to enhance customer experience and achieve operational excellence.
- Participate in timely and accurate completion of business processes and procedures; ensure documentation is accurate and compliant with regulations and the Code of Conduct and Ethics.
- Promote a positive and equitable work environment by supporting team effectiveness and sharing knowledge to achieve common objectives.
- High School diploma and/or 1+ years of relevant experience
- Investment Funds Canada (IFC) or equivalent – post-appointment within 6 months
- Post-Secondary or Undergraduate degree in a related field preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), branch software, and internet
- Knowledge of banking solutions and processes to advise customers
- Self-starter with ability to work independently in a dynamic environment; strong administration, organizational, planning, and time management skills
- Strong communication skills capable of connecting with customers and related teams in a courteous and effective manner
