Heavy Duty Mechanic

Our client, an industry leader in vehicle maintenance and industrial machinery, is seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join their team. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting the fleet and industrial systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Yarmouth, NS

Pay Range: Depends on experience

Shift: Days

• Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul trucks, buses, and all types of diesel engines.
• Work primarily with automobile diesel engines to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Repair, install, adjust, or maintain industrial production and processing machinery.
• Maintain refinery and pipeline distribution systems to ensure continuous operation.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

• Basic understanding of diesel engine mechanics and repair techniques.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety standards.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
