Role: Group Leader for Before & After School Programs

Location: Dennis-Yarmouth Regional School District, Dennis-Yarmouth, MA

Schedule: 7:30–9:10 a.m. and 2:45–5:00 p.m.; no weekends; part-time.

• Lead groups of student explorers through fitness, arts, technology, and other learning activities.
• Work collaboratively with peers to ignite children's sense of wonder.
• Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by building on students' interests and talents.
• Provide a caring, family‑oriented environment fostering positive staff, child, and parent relationships.

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs.
• Must be registered and have full clearance from the state childcare licensing agency.
• Proof of experience as required by state childcare licensing regulations.
• Proof of experience through one of the following:
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a related field.
  • 1‑year state or nationally recognized credential related to school‑age care.
  • Completion of 20 credits (semester) or 30 credits (quarter) of training at a college/university AND at least 1 year of qualifying teaching experience in a Certified Child Care Center or comparable program.
  • 2 or more years of qualifying teaching experience (with at least one year as a teacher) in a Certified Child Care Center or comparable program.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• High School/Trade School degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
