Summary: The Float Wellness Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) travels to multiple Maplewood Senior Living communities within Cape Cod, Massachusetts to provide consistent, high-quality clinical support. This role assists Resident Services Directors with implementing, delivering, and coordinating Resident Care Services and supports staff in ensuring residents receive exceptional care and service.
Essential Functions:
- Provide on-site nursing support across assigned Ohio communities to ensure continuity and quality of care.
- Supervise Resident Services Department associates, including STNA/Resident Services Associates.
- Oversee and assist with the medication program, including supporting residents with self-administration of medications.
- Maintain positive relationships with residents, families, physicians, and other care providers.
- Report significant incidents or changes in resident needs promptly to the Resident Services Director and/or Executive Director.
- Support completion of resident assessments, service plans, and clinical recertifications per ALSA requirements.
- Assist the Resident Services Director in hiring, onboarding, and managing performance within the department.
- Provide training, coaching, mentoring, and participate in orientation of new associates to ensure staff development.
- Assist with scheduling and staffing of Resident Services Assistants as needed.
- Support residents and families to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Supervise RSA staff during provision of care to ensure adherence to policies and standards.
- Attend and participate in scheduled in-service programs, training programs, and associate meetings across multiple communities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Communicates effectively with supervisor and other staff.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers and other staff members
- Encourages positive work environment.
Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification:
- Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed to practice in the appropriate state(s).
- Basic first aid and CPR certification.
- Two years full time or full time equivalent clinical experience.
- Experience in assisted living or long-term care setting preferred.
- Experience and/or special interest working with seniors.
