This full time position will be responsible for planning and implementing an educational program in Welding & Cutting Technology. The individual will be responsible for developing and teaching courses in the Welding & Cutting Technology curriculum and performing other duties. The instructor will report to the Dean of Career Technical Education.
Job DescriptionDuties and Responsibilities
Adhere to and publicly support college policies and procedures.

• Plan and present course instruction based on approved syllabi to assure course objectives are taught in classroom, lab, and clinical settings through a variety of instructional methodology, reinforced through relevant assignments, and assessed through well-designed evaluation tools.

• Accept responsibility for the recruitment, retention, and placement of students.

• Maintain and submit required documentation.

• Assist with student registration and orientation, serving primarily as an advisor.

• Participate in in-service workshops, departmental meetings, etc. as scheduled.

• Participate in the college's ongoing Institutional Effectiveness process, including annual evaluations and reviews, strategic planning, surveys, professional development, etc.
Qualifications
• Minimum of an associate degree in Welding from a regionally-accredited college.

• Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in welding within the last five (5) years; five (5) or more years' experience preferred; teaching experience preferred.
