Transportation Engineering Technician Supervisor

Job Title

Supervisory/Managerial position accountable for overseeing a section or subdivision of technical support to construction projects, traffic control and safety, research and development, roadway design, right of ways, testing, transportation planning and bridges.

Jobs at this level schedule work load, train personnel, and supervise subordinate personnel; and prepare standard operating procedures manuals. Accountable for finalizing projects for clearance of materials; preparing and issuing testing engineer letter of materials and tests; and providing recommendations and advice to testing, district and project engineers, and other divisions.

Success in this role requires a strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to collaborate with others while fostering a positive, productive team environment. The candidate should demonstrate initiative, professionalism, and a commitment to achieving organizational goals through effective teamwork and communication. Preferred Qualifications Typically requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 10+ years of experience, and 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
