Senior Project Engineer

CF Industries is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead complex engineering and design projects in our Chemicals division. In this role, you will own project delivery from concept through commissioning, driving process and equipment design, managing scope, schedule, and budget, and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a culture that values innovation, inclusivity, and open dialogue.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end engineering design and execution of complex chemical facility projects
• Develop process and equipment specifications, P&IDs, and technical documentation
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and risk across multi-disciplinary teams
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, safety, and external vendors/contractors
• Ensure compliance with process safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
• Perform technical calculations, feasibility studies, and design reviews
• Support commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting of new or modified systems
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in project delivery
