Work Schedule: Full time

The associate producer will chase, write, and produce segments for CBC Northwest Territories’ current affairs programs, collaborating with the team and gathering, editing, and producing audio for broadcast. Responsibilities also include booking guests, writing question lines and taped segments, performing live on air, and supporting the newsroom’s dynamic needs.

• University degree or equivalent.
• Minimum two years relevant experience in journalism and media, with radio broadcasting experience preferred.
• Experience in booking guests, writing question lines, and preparing taped segments.
• Experience performing live on air.
• Able to meet deadlines, juggle priorities, stay organized and solve problems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Northwest Territories and its pan‑northern political and cultural landscape.
• Able to work flexible hours with potential overtime.
• The ability to speak an Indigenous language of the Northwest Territories would be considered a major asset.
• Candidate may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.

• A mandatory Criminal record check.
