We’re looking for a Controller who is curious, collaborative, and excited by the opportunity to help shape processes, strengthen operations, and support a diverse group of businesses alongside a strong leadership team.
What you will doThe Controller is responsible for overseeing the organization’s day-to-day financial management and reporting functions, ensuring accurate, timely, and decision-useful financial information to support strategic and operational decision‑making. Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, the Controller provides leadership across financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow oversight, internal controls, and audit coordination.
The Controller serves as a key finance leader within the organization, supporting operational leaders, strengthening financial processes, and ensuring compliance with Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE), internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
What You Bring- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
- 5-7 years progressive finance and accounting experience, including leadership responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of ASPE financial reporting requirements.
- Experience overseeing multi-entity or complex organizational structures considered an asset.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools required;
Net Suite experience considered an asset. - Collaborative team player who can support multiple business priorities
- Familiarity with Yellow knives Dene culture, language, and way of life are considered assets
Salary Range: $145,000 - $165,000
