Shape financial strategies as a Budgeting Supervisor with the City of Yellowknife. Lead budgeting processes while supporting a diverse and impactful team in a supportive work environment.
This role reports to the Manager of Budgeting and Taxation, where you'll assist in preparing operating and capital budgets. You will also provide coaching to Senior Budgeting Officers and ensure the smooth administration of property tax services. Your expertise will guide policy development and financial reporting for the division.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support budget preparation and long-term financial planning
• Oversee property tax assessment and taxation services
• Develop policies and procedures for the division
• Mentor and guide Senior Budgeting Officers
• Prepare various reports and analyses for financial decisions
Requirements:
• University degree in accounting or a related field
• Minimum of 6 years accounting experience
• At least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Advanced skills in MS Office and data analysis
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
