you will do

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance, the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for leading the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting & performance reporting processes for the Det’on Cho Group of Companies. This role provides forward‑looking insights, strategic financial analysis, and ensures financial information is translated into meaningful insights which support data‑driven decision‑making & strengthening financial sustainability of the organization.

What

You Bring

The successful candidate, will have obtained the following education and /or experience:

  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation preferred, completion of a post secondary degree in Finance or Commerce required.
  • Minimum 5+ years related experience, including supervisory experience of people and/or deliverables.
  • Proven financial management skills, including knowledge of the accounting cycle and the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles is required.
  • Experience with multi-entity or multi-division organization is seen as an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Familiarity with Yellow knives Dene language, culture and way of life would be considered assets
