The Department of Environment and Climate Change is seeking an experienced Climate Change Manager to oversee key strategies and programs. This role is pivotal in ensuring a cohesive approach to climate change in the Northwest Territories, integrating data, outreach, and adaptability into GNWT decisions and submissions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead development of climate change strategies and action plans
• Oversee climate data collection and analysis efforts
• Direct outreach and communication initiatives related to climate
• Manage adaptation programs and projects for the GNWT
• Ensure climate considerations in GNWT decision-making processes
Requirements:
• Master's degree in relevant fields with 5+ years experience
• Strong leadership and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication capabilities
• 3+ years in strategy or policy development
• 2+ years in a supervisory role in relevant sectors
