Position: Wek’èezhìı Conservation Biologist Opportunity
The Wek’èezhìı Renewable Resources Board is seeking a dedicated Conservation Biologist to enhance species management in Yellowknife. This full-time role spans 18 months focused on renewable resource conservation.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor or Master of Science Degree in Environmental Sciences and three years of pertinent experience.

Your role will involve scientific research, monitoring, and advisory responsibilities concerning plants and wildlife. Travel to various communities and flexible working hours are essential to support conservation efforts effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform scientific research on species at risk

• Analyze environmental data and conduct technical reviews

• Assist in managing forest and plant resources

• Facilitate collaboration with local communities

• Travel frequently to serve Wek’èezhìı communities
Requirements:

• Bachelor or Master of Science in relevant field

• 3+ years of experience in resource management

• Strong communication and data analysis skills

• Background in cross-cultural environments is an asset
