Position: Environmental Professional for Field Projects
Be a pivotal part of Stantec's Site Investigation and Remediation team in Yellowknife, NWT. As an Environmental Professional, you will lead crucial SIR field projects across Alberta and the Northwest Territories.

We seek an intermediate Project Environmental Professional with a strong background in geology, engineering, or technology. You will work closely with Project Managers to develop field instructions, coordinate scopes of work, and oversee environmental sampling. Collaborate with skilled specialists in a supportive environment focused on safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote health and safety culture on all projects

• Lead site investigations, including Phase I and Phase II ESAs

• Conduct soil sampling, groundwater monitoring, and elevation surveying

• Mentor junior staff and oversee field activities

• Write technical reports in line with Alberta remediation guidelines

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field

• 5+ years of fieldwork experience in environmental projects

• Leadership experience in environmental settings

• Familiarity with environmental laws and regulations

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
