Position: Fixed Plant Welder Role at Burgundy Diamond Mines
Join Burgundy Diamond Mines as a Fixed Plant Welder at the Ekati site, where your welding expertise contributes directly to diamond production. Make an impact with heavy plate welding and machinery upkeep while ensuring safety protocols are met.

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will work a two-week on, two-week off rotation conducting various welding tasks in an industrial environment. This includes fabricating and performing field repairs on essential mining machinery. Your proficiency in welding and attention to detail will enhance overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute welding duties for fabrication and repairs

• Maintain full functionality of crusher/sizing equipment

• Weld heavy plates securely and to industry standards

• Apply air-arc gouging methods for repairs

• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately

Requirements:

• Certificate as a Red Seal/Interprovincial Welder

• GED or high school diploma essential

• 3-5 years’ experience in relevant fields

• Familiarity with SAP and maintenance techniques beneficial

• Class 5 driver license is mandatory
