Naka Electric Groundperson Position

Kickstart your career in utilities as a Groundperson with Naka Power Utilities. This hands-on position supports Power Line Technicians in vital powerline operations.

The temporary role will last about six months, offering insight into electrical utility work, construction, and outdoor trades. Responsibilities include assisting in the setup and maintenance of work sites, ensuring safety protocols, and managing materials in various weather conditions to support effective operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Aid PLT crews in constructing and maintaining powerlines

• Handle equipment and tools responsibly and safely

• Organize, set up, and clean work environments

• Adhere to strict safety protocols at all times

• Work collaboratively with team members and clients

Requirements:

• High School Diploma, CAEC, or GED needed

• Fulfill academic prerequisites for Alberta PLT Apprenticeship

• Comfort with heights on structures

• Strong capability for outdoor physical labor

• Availability to travel as needed
