Position: Entry-Level Groundperson Role
Embrace a hands-on opportunity as a Groundperson with NAKA Power Utilities in Yellowknife, NWT, where you’ll work alongside experienced Power Line Technicians. Engage in fieldwork focused on electrical distribution systems and powerline maintenance.

Offering 40 hours per week, this temporary six-month position is perfect for those interested in a career in the electrical utility industry. You'll gain valuable experience while helping construct and maintain vital infrastructure. This role requires dedication to safe work practices while supporting various crew operations in any weather condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support construction and maintenance tasks for powerlines

• Safely handle tools and materials on site

• Organize and clean work areas effectively

• Follow safe work protocols at all times

• Interact professionally with crew and the public

Requirements:

• High School Diploma, CAEC, or GED

• Valid Class 5 driver's license required

• Ability to work at heights on structures

• Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions

• Meet entry academic standards for Alberta PLT Apprenticeship
