Join a dynamic healthcare internship program designed for high school seniors who have completed a Nursing Assistant Training Program. This part-time internship offers hands-on clinical experience in acute care and emergency department settings within a critical access hospital environment in the Pacific Northwest region.

Job Summary

As a Cna Intern, you will mentor first-year Cna students, assist with patient care under RN supervision, and participate in a structured learning program that supports your growth as a compassionate and competent healthcare professional. This role includes direct patient care activities such as taking vital signs, assisting with hygiene, mobility, feeding, and communication, while adhering to safety and privacy standards.

Education

And Experience
  • Current high school senior enrolled in a Cna Internship Program.
  • Successful completion of a high school Cna Training Program.
  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (NA-C) credential in the state, including passing written and skills exams.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Completion of phlebotomy training and pursuit of Medical Assistant–Phlebotomist (MA-P) certification during the internship.
  • Compliance with teen labor laws and submission of required authorization forms.
Requirements And Skills
  • Foundational knowledge of patient care within Cna scope.
  • Understanding of medical terminology and clinical communication.
  • Commitment to patient safety, infection control, and professionalism.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a healthcare team.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn electronic medical records systems.
  • Attention to detail and sensitivity to cultural and developmental needs.
