💼 Temp to Perm
💷 £16 per hour (Freelance) | £33,000 per annum (Permanent)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Floor Layer to join our Planned Works Team on a temp-to-perm basis, working across Yeovil and the surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term role within a well-established team delivering high-quality improvement works to residential properties.
About the Planned Works Team
Our team delivers improvement and cyclical works across our client’s entire operational area. Using both in-house teams and approved subcontractors, we carry out major scheduled works including:
* Kitchen renewals
* Bathroom replacements
* Roof replacements
* Insulation upgrades
* Cyclical safety inspections (e.g. lifts and electrical installations)
* Specialist project works specified by Contract Surveyors
We pride ourselves on maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer service.
The Role
As a Floor Layer, you will:
* Prepare and fit vinyl flooring in wet rooms, kitchens, and bathrooms
* Measure and prepare subfloors using latex or plywood
* Install vinyl sheet flooring, safety flooring, and vinyl tiles to a high standard
* Carry out minor repairs to various floor coverings
* Identify and remove potential hazards to ensure customer safety
* Work in occupied properties while delivering excellent customer service
About You
* Proven experience in vinyl floor laying
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
* Professional, proactive, and customer-focused
* Strong attention to detail and quality
* Full UK driving licence preferred
