The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team.
Responsibilities- Work closely with the department heads to understand and ensure accuracy of all financial reporting activity
- Assist with financial reporting & quarterly statements
- Project and General Accounting Analysis – quarterly projections
- Bank Reconciliations
- Assist with Payroll reporting
- Summarize and post data to journals, ledgers, and accounts
- Reconcile bank accounts, checks, journal entries and other accounting records
- Receive and match invoices to purchase orders, requisitions and receiving documentation
- Responsible for checking accuracy, scheduling of payments, processing invoices
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies with vendors, subcontractors
- Assist with audits
- Assist in preparation and distribution of financial statements
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Economics, or Finance
- Must have 2-5 years' of experience in Accounting
