We are seeking a Commercial Leader to join a growing team! (Sales, Marketing, Market Access) – Life Sciences (Biotech) | (NYC)-
This is a high‑visibility leadership role with direct influence on overall division commercial strategy, team performance, and market expansion. You’ll have the opportunity to take over a well‑established Commercial desk and play a pivotal role in scaling one of GQR’s most strategically important verticals.
Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial Growth & Business Development
- Expand existing biotech and pharma accounts while opening new high‑value clients across Commercial functions (Sales Leadership, Product Marketing, HCP/Patient Marketing, Market Access, HEOR, Pricing & Reimbursement, Commercial Strategy, Launch Excellence).
- Lead strategic BD initiatives, including enterprise engagements, retained searches, contingent hiring, contract staffing, and RPO/FSP solutions.
- Position GQR as a trusted advisor through consultative, insight‑driven engagement rooted in commercial trends, launch dynamics, competitive landscapes, and market access challenges.
- Implement scalable processes that support rapid growth and consistent execution across a highly competitive commercial talent market.
- Guide your team in closing complex commercial searches, negotiating offers, and maximizing margin and revenue outcomes.
- Recruit, coach, and elevate a team of high‑potential consultants specializing in Commercial roles.
- Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and commercial excellence.
- Develop future leaders through structured training, mentorship, and performance management.
- Oversee full‑cycle recruitment delivery, ensuring best‑in‑class client and candidate experience for highly specialized commercial roles.
- Drive data‑driven decision making across pipeline management, forecasting, and performance metrics.
- Proven success running a high‑performing recruitment desk within Life Sciences, ideally with exposure to Commercial functions (Sales, Marketing, Market Access, HEOR, Commercial Strategy).
- Strong commercial instincts with a track record of business development success and client expansion.
- A leadership style that is people‑first, collaborative, and performance‑driven.
