• Plan, schedule, and install plumbing equipment, pipe fitting, and underground utilities on multi-million-dollar construction, renovation, and major maintenance projects.
• Provide offender labor force construction trade training and supervision.
• Project management and coordination with other trade groups.
• Tool, equipment, and material procurement; scheduling of project inspections.
• Oversee construction project evaluation and monitoring.
• Review and interpret construction designs, plans, and specifications for new construction, renovation, and major maintenance projects.

• Journeyman level plumbing construction experience within commercial, institutional and/or government construction projects.
• Working knowledge of plumbing equipment, piping, and underground utilities.
• Knowledge of NC Plumbing Codes and industry standards including OSHA, UL, and other construction industry standards.
• Ability to review and interpret construction designs and specifications.

• Journeyman level plumbing trade skills.
• Strong construction supervision skills.
• Efficient decision‑making capabilities.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid NC driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• High school diploma or GED and two years of journeyman plumbing experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Preferred:
  Thorough knowledge of repair, maintenance and construction techniques, building codes, environmental rules, ability to direct journeyman level work, read schematics, sketch technical drawings, estimate repair projects, perform paraprofessional engineering projects, supervise subordinates.

• Salary Grade Range: $41,206.00 - $72,113.00.

• Full-time (40 hrs/week). Schedule Monday-Thursday 7:00 AM-5:30 PM, occasional Fridays.
• Weekly overnight travel to construction sites; assigned duty station and state vehicle for travel.
