COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Psychiatry (PSY)
- Salary:
Starting at $344K plus RVU bonus - Afternoons 1p-11p
- CME/Indirect Costs: $3,000 plus 3-5 days
- PTO: 14 paid holidays plus 30 additional days off (including sick time, accrues annually)
- Relocation:
Assistance based on SBUH and IRS guidelines - Sign-on bonus offered
- Educational repayment:
Non-profit employer, assistance with PSLF (eligibility dependent) - Benefits:
Comprehensive medical/health coverage through Empire BC/BS - Retirement: 403(b) plan with NY State pension options; employer contributes 8% of annual salary, vested in 3 years
- Malpractice and tail insurance paid
RESPONSIBILITIES AND FACILITY DETAILS Psychiatry (PSY)
- Clinical care of psychiatric patients in a Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) or similar emergency psychiatric setting
- Psychiatric evaluation and management of patients in the CPEP/ED
- Teaching and supervision of residents, nurses, and medical students
- After-hours work provided only through the hospital; no offsite practice or patients (non-negotiable)
COMMUNITY Psychiatry (PSY)
- 15-30 minutes from the region’s most beautiful beaches and local wineries
- Nearby train service to Penn Station, NYC (~90 minutes)
- Access to shopping, fitness centers, restaurants, and outdoor recreation (walking/biking trails, water sports); live right on the marina, ocean-side
