Startup Program Manager, Founders School

Traditional high schools track achievement using grades and standardized tests. At Founders School, success is defined by companies built, real-world challenges tackled, and students accomplishing what most adults would view as unattainable.

• Push forward daily execution and forward momentum for your assigned students using standups, coaching conversations, and accountability frameworks.
• Lead weekly one-on-one coaching meetings and daily progress check-ins that enable students to work through roadblocks and sustain momentum.
• Track student activity within FounderOS, catch stagnation before it compounds, and bring in support resources as situations require.
• Facilitate introductions to mentors, founders, operators, and growth opportunities that fast-track student development.
• Organize workshops, gatherings, and community-building activities that deepen culture and elevate performance expectations.
• Demonstrate hands‑on AI application and guide students in embedding AI into their operations, workflows, and strategic thinking.
• Accompany students on 3-4 annual school trips.

• Delivering advanced strategic business advice as students develop their ventures. That function belongs to FounderOS, Entrepreneurs-in-Residence, and external mentors.
• Tolerating output that sits below what a student has already proven they can deliver.
• Leading traditional academic instruction. That domain is managed by the academic platform and faculty.
• Facilitating workshops in areas outside your skillset.
• Offering generic materials or introductions that fail to align with Founders School quality standards.

Build the culture, accountability structures, and support infrastructure that allow motivated student founders to execute reliably, use AI with confidence, and deliver results that go beyond what conventional education enables.

• 3+ years in leadership positions or high‑impact individual contributor roles at startups, scaling companies, or equivalently rigorous settings.
• Comfort participating in entrepreneurial discussions and recognizing when specialized expertise is needed.
• A standout capability beyond coaching: workshop design, event orchestration, content development, community activation, network building, or another equally impactful skill.
• The capacity to hold the focus of ambitious teenagers and build an environment they're drawn to.
• The skill to communicate hard truths in ways that elevate drive and output.
• Regular use of AI tools with concrete examples demonstrating how AI enhances your productivity.
• Availability to work on‑site in New York City (we provide relocation assistance).
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Started or co‑launched a company.
• Background coaching, mentoring, or running programs for teenagers or emerging adults.
• A built network of founders, operators, investors, or advisors.
• Experience at early‑stage startups where you juggled multiple roles and created systems from the ground up.

This is a place for people who'd rather build the thing than manage the thing. We're hiring the founding team that builds the dream high school for the most entrepreneurial and ambitious students in the country. Launching in NYC Fall 2026.

This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
