Yonkers Contracting Company, Inc. is seeking a qualified Senior Estimator with a minimum of 10 years of civil construction experience.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough analysis of bid documents
- Define and quantify scopes of work
- Perform detail bid cost estimates using estimating software HCSS
- Research new materials and equipment for cost and constructability
- Solicit subcontractor proposals and perform a complete analysis
- Provide enhanced concepts for alternate material, equipment, and means-and-methods
- Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering or construction management
- Ability to estimate and price for multiple bids at one time
- Strong understanding of the greater NY, NJ, and CT construction markets
- Proficient in HCSS, Excel, and WORD
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, AGTEK on-screen takeoff, and ISQFT
