JOB SUMMARY

TheBAS Technical Project Manager supports DLB’s mission critical projects, with a primary focus on building automation systems (BAS),PMS (Power Management System),controls integration, and smart building solutions. This role provides technical and project leadership for the planning, and designof BAS/PMSand integrated control system sand develops and maintains DLB controls standards.

TheBAS Technical Project Manager collaborates closely without-source partners,MEP design engineers, construction contractors, equipment vendors, software engineers, project managers, and client representatives to ensure systems are designed, integrated, and delivered in alignment with project requirements and client expectations.

This positionoperateswith a high degree of independence, receiving generaldirectionson routineworkand detailed guidance on new or complex assignments. Themanagermay serve as a technical lead/ Point of Contacton projects of moderate to complex scope and coordinate the work of other engineering and production staff. The role communicates andoperatesin line with organizational goals, values, and departmental objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Engineering Design-Support
Activities **(50%)**

• Oversee subconsultant scopes of work, including the development, review, and coordination of Statements of Objectives (SOO), construction drawings, and technical specifications.

• Ensure subconsultant deliverables are complete,accurate, and aligned with project requirements, organizational standards, and applicable codes and regulations using the DLB QAQC process.

• Coordinate with project teams and external partners tomonitorscopecompliance, maintain quality expectations, and supporttimelydelivery of design and documentation packages.

• Createand manage project deliverables includingdesigndrawings,sequences of operations and specifications

• Assistin development ofvarious engineering drawings in AutoCADand Revitformat including floor plan drawings, system architecture diagrams, point-to-point wiringdiagramsand control panel diagrams

• Coordinate items with MEP trades that alsoaffectBAS

• Identify potential project scope changes and aid in development of strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines

• Management of project deliverables when they are not the lead design engineer

Standards Development and Maintenance (10%)

• Develop, document, andmaintainBAS and EPMS production standards in conjunction with the BIM team.

• Develop, document, andmaintainBAS and EPMS specification sections.

• Review existing standards regularly to ensure they align with customer needs, DLB graphics standards, and ongoing innovations in the industry.

• Provide training, guidance, and support to staffregardingstandardsimplementation and compliance.

• Work closely with outsourcepartnersstandards and training staff to ensure compliance on all projects.

• Work as part of the engineering team and interact closely with the project management team

• Manage and review shop drawings and submittals

• Manage and review and respond to RFIs

• Manage and review punch lists and project close out documents

** Perform Onsite BAS Engineering Reviews(5%)**

• Assistand manage onsite BAS engineering audits and feasibility studies

• Assistand manageBAS engineering surveys for retrofit projects

** Administrative (5%)**

• Prepare and oversee development of project progress reports for internal and external stakeholders

• Create / complete departmental reports

• Accountable for project contract administration
