Our Finance team plays an essential role in maintaining a healthy balance sheet  delivers significant finance support for the overall enterprise, optimizing operations, controllership, funding and capital structure to honor our stakeholder commitments. The team’s work is invaluable to informing leadership decision making, complying with regulatory requirements, and maintaining financial discipline, transparency and controls, while providing timely and meaningful information.

AIG’s Summer Interns are immersed in the day-to-day operations of a fast-moving, global insurance company. During the 9-week program, you will gain valuable, hands‑on experience and insurance industry knowledge, working with leaders on dynamic projects, with plenty of opportunity for challenges, learning and achievement. Summer Interns join one of our key business teams, which offers a unique opportunity to obtain core technical knowledge and professional skills in a diverse environment.

In addition to meaningful on-the-job experiences, interns will join instructor‑led masterclasses, hear directly from senior leaders, and build meaningful connections through mentoring circles, networking events and volunteering. Following completion of the internship program, interns may be considered for a role in the location where they completed their internship, with the Analyst program beginning in July
2028.

The Finance function consists of a variety of teams with an array of responsibilities, including Financial Planning and Analysis, Accounting & Controllership, Investor Relations, Tax, Operations, Internal Audit, Investments, Data Management, and Treasury. Example Finance responsibilities may include:

• Provide key reporting and analytics support, review business performance, drive planning and forecasting efforts, and build operating budgets
• Perform controllership activities that deliver required AIG consolidated financial reporting, provide tax advisory, planning, accounting, compliance, and analytics for all types of taxes
• Improve financial management systems and information, contribute to process improvement or savings initiatives, and participate in finance projects
• Develop and update reports on capital, forecast, cash flows, funding and liquidity, review business metrics and perform competitive intelligence

After initial orientation and training, summer interns will join one of our finance teams, which offer a unique opportunity to obtain core technical knowledge and professional skills in a diverse and global environment.
