A rapidly expanding neurology and behavioral health practice called in Yonkers, New York is seeking a highly capable Office Manager to oversee the administrative and operational functions of the clinic. This position plays a central role in keeping the practice organized, compliant, and running efficiently. The ideal candidate has experience managing a medical office environment and understands how scheduling, billing, insurance, and staff coordination all work together in a busy outpatient setting.
This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys taking ownership of workflows, improving systems, and supporting both patients and clinicians.
Oversee daily front office and administrative operations
- Supervise front desk, scheduling, and clinical support staff
- Maintain provider schedules and patient appointment flow
- Ensure accurate patient registration, documentation, and record management
- Manage insurance verification, eligibility, and prior authorization processes
- Oversee medical billing, claims submission, payment posting, and issue resolution
- Handle patient billing questions and insurance discrepancies
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and regulatory standards
- Coordinate communication between providers, billing teams, and administrative staff
- Track office performance, workflow efficiency, and revenue cycle activity
- Maintain EHR data accuracy and documentation standards
- Manage office supplies and administrative resources
- Address patient concerns and ensure a positive experience
- Provide administrative support to physicians, nurse practitioners, and leadership
- At least one year of experience managing a medical office
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Strong understanding of medical scheduling, insurance, and billing workflows
- Experience supervising staff in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with EHR and medical billing software
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
