We are seeking a compassionate Registered Behavior Technician to provide ABA therapy to clients in Yonkers, NY. Position Overview
We seek a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. If you're looking for a career where you can make a lasting difference, this is the perfect opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) designed by BCBAs to improve social, communication, and daily living skills.
- Provide 1-on-1 support to individuals with developmental disabilities in home, school, and community settings.
- Collect and accurately document data on client progress and behavior during each session.
- Collaborate with BCBAs to adjust and refine interventions based on data and client needs.
- Support and train families or caregivers to understand and reinforce behavior techniques.
- Use positive reinforcement and evidence-based strategies to encourage skill development.
- Maintain professional communication with BCBAs, families, and other care team members.
- Ensure a safe environment by implementing de-escalation techniques and crisis management strategies as needed.
Experience
- Must hold an active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
- College Degree Preferred
- At least six months of experience working as an RBT.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively connect with clients, families, and team members.
- Reliable transportation to travel between service locations (if needed).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
