Saint Joseph’s Medical Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) or a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our School-Based Rehabilitation Program for the 2026–2027 school year.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work with pediatric students ages 5–21 and make a meaningful difference in their development, independence, and ability to participate successfully in the school environment.
About the Position:Our OTs and COTAs provide occupational therapy services to students in Yonkers Public Schools and, when needed, in students’ homes. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating students, documenting services and progress, participating in IEP development, and maintaining communication with parents, guardians, teachers, school personnel, and the School-Based Rehabilitation Program team.

Occupational Therapist (OT):
- New York State Occupational Therapy license required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing needs
- New York State Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license required
- Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills

Full-Time Occupational Therapist: $85,000 annually
Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant: $55,120 annually
Part-Time OT/COTA:
Fee-for-service — please inquire for additional information
- Health and dental insurance available for employees working 30+ hours per week for 45 days, with continued eligibility based on maintaining 30+ hours per week
