We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team and provide high-quality respiratory care that supports the health, comfort, and well-being of our residents.

In this role, you will use your clinical expertise to assess, treat, and monitor residents with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions. Working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams, you will develop individualized care plans and deliver evidence-based respiratory therapies that promote optimal outcomes and improve quality of life.

As a Full-Time Respiratory Therapist at Richmond Community Services, you will:

• Assess residents' respiratory status and develop treatment plans based on physician orders and clinical evaluations.
• Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, chest physiotherapy, and ventilator support.
• Monitor and maintain respiratory equipment to ensure safe and effective operation.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on respiratory conditions, treatment plans, disease management, and respiratory equipment use.
• Accurately document resident assessments, treatments, progress, and changes in condition in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive resident care.
• Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies and provide critical respiratory support when needed.
• Participate in care planning meetings and interdisciplinary discussions to support positive resident outcomes.

• Current and valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Current state licensure or certification to practice as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated ability to perform respiratory therapy procedures and operate respiratory care equipment safely and effectively.

• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, acute care, or critical care settings.
• Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
• Strong communication and resident education skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Proficiency with ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and respiratory monitoring equipment.
• Critical thinking skills and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.

• Attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.
