Mental Health
Forty million Americans currently live in a designated mental health professional shortage area. For millions more, the barrier is not geography but time: waitlists that stretch for weeks or a system that was not built around how they actually live. Virtual Care Medical Group (VCMG), the clinical organization delivering care to Fabric Health's patients and partners nationwide, exists to close that gap.
Through a network of licensed mental health professionals, we connects patients with therapists who can meet them where they are, via video across all 50 states.
As a Behavioral Health Therapist, you define your own availability and carry a caseload you can sustain alongside your other clinical work. The minimum commitment is ten hours of patient-facing availability per week. You bring the license, the clinical training, and the experience; we provide the platform, credentialing support, and the clinical infrastructure that keeps you focused on the work. This is an independent contractor engagement.
The patient population is intentionally diverse. We serve patients across demographics, geographies, and presenting concerns, because the access gap cuts across all of them. You will deliver the full scope of evidence-based outpatient teletherapy, from initial intake through ongoing treatment and documentation, without the overhead of running a private practice.
What You'll DoYou will deliver independent outpatient behavioral health care via video, managing your own patient relationships from initial intake through ongoing treatment.
- Conducting initial intake assessments and follow-up teletherapy sessions with patients via secure video technology.
- Developing individualized, evidence-based treatment plans aligned with each patient's presenting concerns, goals, and clinical needs.
- Completing accurate, timely clinical documentation in the EMR following each session.
- Adhering to our clinical quality parameters, practice guidelines, and patient care standards.
- Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as clinically indicated.
- Identifying and navigating community resources, referral networks, and support systems appropriate to each patient's situation.
- Complying with federal and state telehealth regulations, including licensure and scope-of-practice requirements across the states where you practice.
- Maintaining ongoing professional development through continuing education and clinical training
- You hold a fully independent clinical license and have practiced as an independently licensed clinician for at least two years post-licensure.
- You have delivered teletherapy before and know how to build a genuine therapeutic relationship through a screen.
- You value flexibility: you want to define your own hours, maintain other clinical commitments, and practice without managing a practice.
- You are experienced working with a diverse patient population across backgrounds, demographics, and diagnoses.
- You are grounded in at least one evidence-based treatment modality and committed to structured, outcome-oriented care.
- You treat clinical documentation as part of the therapeutic process, not an afterthought.
- Expanding access for patients who cannot easily reach care in person is part of why you do this work.
- You are still completing supervised hours toward independent licensure; this role requires a fully unrestricted, independently practicing license.
- You have not delivered teletherapy before and are unsure whether the video format suits your clinical style.
- You are looking for a W-2 position with employer-provided benefits such as health insurance, a 401(k) match, or paid time off.
- You are unwilling to complete our credentialing and onboarding processes or to practice within its clinical quality standards.
- Master's degree or higher in counseling, social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or a related clinical field from an accredited program.
- Current, unrestricted independent clinical license in good standing (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or equivalent) in the state(s) where you will practice.
- At least two years of post-licensure independent clinical practice providing outpatient psychotherapy.
- Experience working with a diverse patient population across demographics and presenting concerns
- Direct experience delivering care via teletherapy or other virtual modalities.
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and diagnostic skills.
- Comfort with…
