Role overview

The Cybersecurity Program Manager leads a large federal SETA contract delivering information assurance, FISMA and audit coordination, cyber risk and vulnerability management, and cyber defense support for a U.S. government agency's IT enterprise. The role owns cost, schedule, and performance for a program of more than 125 FTEs and serves as the primary contractor-side point of contact for the customer, partnering with a Cyber Technical Lead and a Business Manager to deliver all CDRLs and mission outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Direct overall program execution, including cost, schedule, staffing, and performance metrics for a multi-task cybersecurity SETA program supporting a federal intelligence customer.
  • Lead a leadership team of subordinate managers, allocating work, tracking completion, and ensuring all contract deliverables are produced on time and to standard.
  • Act as the contractor's primary liaison with the customer and with subcontractors, overseeing staffing, training, supervision, and coordination of all program personnel.
  • Manage the full program budget in partnership with contracts, finance, and pricing functions, including forecasting, funding tracking, and required contract and financial reporting.
  • Drive business development within the assigned scope, supporting capture and proposal efforts and helping to secure follow-on work.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM or business field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
  • At least six years of program management experience (ten or more preferred), with at least five years in systems engineering, IT, or cybersecurity.
  • Demonstrated experience running SETA programs exceeding 125 FTEs and a strong record in subcontract management.
  • Prior work within the U.S. Intelligence Community and an active cybersecurity qualification such as CISSO or Security+.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent program management credential.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, plus 16+ years of experience with a bachelor's (or 14+ with a master's), including at least six years in a management role.
Benefits and work setup
  • Position is classified as a Director-level federal contracting role with a posted compensation range of roughly $152,300 to $264,900, depending on contract wage determinations, experience, skills, geography, and applicable labor categories.
  • Benefits package typically includes health and life insurance, paid time off, holiday pay, short- and long-term disability, retirement and savings plans, learning and development opportunities, and wellness programs.
  • Employer is an equal opportunity federal government contractor.
