About the Opportunity

A Global Telecommunications Company is looking for a Commerical Lawyer with 5+ years' experience for an ongoing engagement starting as soon as possible (expected to last at least 6 months).

The work will involve managing a high-volume pipeline of telecom and carrier-related transactions
.

Specifically, the role will include:

  • Negotiating a wide range of agreements including carrier contracts such as SMS and telecom agreements, network operator agreements, and contracts with MVNOs, aggregators, start-ups, service providers, regulators, and other suppliers.
  • Managing negotiations with major MNOs and MVNOs, including counter party templates and bespoke agreements.
  • Advising on risk mitigation and disputes related to fraudulent, phishing, smishing, artificially inflated, or deceptive traffic.
  • Partnering with carrier, sourcing, product, security, regulatory, and compliance teams to develop practical, business-oriented solutions.
  • Enhancing and standardizing contract templates, processes, and procedures to support global supplier and carrier management.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in technology transactions or procurement, preferably within telecom or adjacent industries such as major wireless carriers, CPaaS providers, or cloud communications platforms.

Qualifications

  • Skilled in negotiating a wide range of agreements including carrier contracts such as SMS and telecom agreements, network operator agreements, and contracts with MVNOs, aggregators, start-ups, service providers, regulators, and other suppliers as well as managing negotiations with major MNOs and MVNOs, including counter party templates and bespoke agreements.
  • Ability to advise on risk mitigation and disputes related to fraudulent, phishing, smishing, artificially inflated, or deceptive traffic.
  • Ability to enhance and standardize contract templates, processes, and procedures to support global supplier and carrier management.

Required
  • Ideal candidates will be able to work full-time. However, the company is open to candidates with only part-time availability.
  • The work will be performed remotely.
  • The company's preferred pricing model is weekly with a budget of $4,000 - $5,000 per week based on full-time. The company is open to exploring options outside of this range with the requisite experience.
  • The work will be performed as the client's direct independent contractor or outside counsel. Invoices will be submitted through the Priori platform and are payable per the client’s standard payment terms (Net 45 days).
