Equipment Shop Manager

Yonkers Contracting Company is seeking a qualified Equipment Shop Manager with 10+ years of relevant experience.

• Enforce safety policies and conduct required safety inspections and meetings
• Dispatch trucks, equipment, and service vehicles to meet field needs
• Oversee fleet maintenance, repairs, inspections, and compliance
• Supervise mechanics and prioritize shop and field work
• Manage fuel operations, environmental compliance, and yard activities
• Administer fleet systems, parts procurement, vendors, warranties, and invoicing
• Review and approve work orders, timecards, and payroll
• Coordinate inspections (DMV, state, crane) and support project teams

• High school diploma required
• Minimum 10+ years’ experience in a similar role – including supervisory experience
• Strong organizational, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to coordinate operations between yard and project sites
