Apollo Med Flight is seeking a Program Director to lead the operational success of our Pafford Program. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Field Operations, this position provides overall leadership for program operations, personnel, financial performance, and strategic partnerships.
The Program Director serves as the primary operational leader for the assigned program, working collaboratively with aviation, maintenance, communications, clinical leadership, and hospital partners to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. This position plays a critical role in achieving operational excellence while maintaining fiscal responsibility and strengthening relationships with our partners.
- Lead the daily operations of the assigned partner program.
- Provide leadership and oversight for operational personnel.
- Collaborate with Aviation, Maintenance, Communications, and Clinical leadership.
- Develop and monitor operational goals and performance metrics.
- Analyze operational data and prepare management reports.
- Recruit, interview, hire, and develop employees.
- Promote employee engagement and professional development.
- Resolve operational issues through collaboration and problem-solving.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and Safety Management System (SMS) initiatives.
- Serve as the primary liaison with hospital partners and joint venture stakeholders.
- Participate in quality improvement, safety, business development, and partner meetings.
- Manage assigned operational budgets and oversee cost control initiatives.
- Maintain oversight of facilities, aircraft support operations, equipment, supplies, and resources.
- Foster a culture centered on safety, professionalism, accountability, and customer service.
- Three years of Air Medical Experience
- Three years operational management/supervisory experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare management, or another related field. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
Must be computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Office or similar applications. - Must live or be willing to live within the assigned region.
- Must obtain Certified Medical Transport Executive (CMTE) within 36 months of hire.
- Must complete Just Culture for Managers Training within 3 months of hire.
- Valid driver’s license
- Master’s degree in business or related field.
- Five years’ operational management/supervisory experience.
- Certified Medical Transport Executive (CMTE).
