CMM Programmer/Operator – Aerospace & Defense Industry

- CMM Programming & Operation:
Program and operate CMM machines using PC-DMIS (or similar software) to inspect CNC-machined parts and ensure they meet stringent aerospace and defense standards. - Quality Control:
Conduct in-process and final inspections, adhering to GD&T specifications and ASME 14.5/Y standards. - First Article Test Reports:
Prepare and review FATRs to ensure first-run parts align with customer requirements. - Blueprint Mastery:
Read and interpret complex engineering drawings with precision and expertise. - Problem Solving:
Anticipate and address potential inspection or programming issues to maintain smooth production workflows. - Team
Collaboration:
Work closely with machinists, operators, and quality inspectors to uphold product quality and resolve challenges efficiently. - Process Documentation:
Maintain thorough and accurate records of inspections, calibrations, and test results to comply with internal and customer standards. - Continuous Improvement:
Suggest and implement process enhancements to drive efficiency and quality.
- Experience:
At least 3 years as a CMM Programmer/Operator in high-precision industries. - Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in PC-DMIS software, GD&T (ASME 14.5/Y), and calibration processes. - Industry Knowledge:
Hands-on experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing environments. - Detail-Oriented:
Exceptional attention to detail to meet the tight tolerances required for aerospace components. - Team Player:
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset. - Flexibility:
Availability for overtime and weekend work as needed.
- Familiarity with late-model CNC equipment such as Mori Seiki, Fadal, Star, Flow, Amada, and Mitsubishi.
- Previous experience calibrating and operating CMM equipment in a certified quality environment.
