Temporary Communications Manager
Part-Time | 20 Hours/Week | 3-Month Contract | Remote/Hybrid | $40-50/hr
Our nonprofit client is seeking a Temporary Communications Manager to support a high-impact year-end fundraising and marketing campaign. This role combines project management, content development, digital communications, and stakeholder coordination to ensure successful execution across multiple channels.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and execute year-end fundraising and communications campaigns from planning through delivery.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, deliverables, approvals, and campaign workflows.
- Create and edit content for email campaigns, newsletters, social media, web content, and donor communications.
- Coordinate messaging across digital, print, and social media platforms.
- Manage email marketing campaigns using platforms such as Constant Contact, Mailchimp, or similar tools.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, consultants, and external partners to ensure timely execution of communications initiatives.
- Monitor campaign performance and recommend content or engagement improvements.
- Maintain consistent messaging, branding, and quality across all communications.
- 3+ years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, nonprofit communications, or a related field.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with experience developing content for multiple audiences and channels.
- Proven project management experience with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Experience with email marketing platforms, social media management, and website content updates.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Fundraising, donor engagement, or nonprofit communications.
- Year-end giving or campaign-based marketing initiatives.
- CRM or fundraising platforms such as Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, or Blackbaud.
- Healthcare, humanitarian, social impact, or mission-driven organizations.
We are seeking a proactive and highly organized communications professional who can quickly step in, manage multiple projects, and deliver compelling content that supports fundraising and engagement goals.
Contract: 3 Months
Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week
