CAT CARE ATTENDANT AT PETCO IN YONKERS, NY

We need dedicated volunteers to help maintain a sanitary environment inside our cat adoption center. This includes cleaning cat spaces in a cat condo habitat, feeding/replenishing food & water, and changing cat litter. Experience with cats is required.

Volunteers will sometimes interact with potential adopters. Volunteers for this position should be able to work independently, be self‑motivated, possess self‑initiative, be consistent, on time, and act professionally in a laid‑back environment. Volunteering in teams of two is permitted. This is the most important function of our daily operations, and vital for the health and well‑being of our adoptable cats and kittens.

Volunteers who are reliable and can make a commitment to attend the same day and shift every week for at least 6 months will receive a strong letter of recommendation for their future endeavors.

Volunteers should be committed to the aforementioned shifts for at least 6 months. We have morning and evening shifts available.

We strongly encourage volunteers to get a tetanus shot before volunteering for a safety precaution.

• Age 18+ (adults only)
• Experience with cats
• English language skills

After expressing interest in one or more dates and times you would like to volunteer, your availability will be sent to the Opportunity Leader who will review and confirm when you should attend.
